NORWEGIAN DIET
Ole was turning 75 and was overweight, so his doctor put him on a diet. The
doctor said, "I want you to eat regularly for two days, and the skip a day, and
repeat this procedure for two weeks. The next time I see you, you should have
lost at least five pounds.
When Ole returned, he shocked the doctor by having lost 50 pounds. "Why
that is amazing," the doctor said, "Did you follow my instructions?" Old nodded,
"I tell you, though, by gosh, I thought I wuz gonna drop dead on dat third day'"
"From hunger, you mean?" asked the doctor. "Heck no, it wuz from al dat darn
skipping!"

County Detention Center has been postponed!!!!
In case you haven't noticed it in the paper, Monica Kastens has passed away and
her funeral is at 11:00 on Friday.
The trip to the Shawnee County Detention Center will be scheduled for a later
date, if possible. Keep watching.

Minutes - Downtown Optimists, July 5th
There was no meeting, so there are no minutes. Here's hoping that everyone read the notice that the Top of the Tower was closed last Friday and will be again this Friday.
