AGREEMENT
I made an agreement with my wife, I don't try to run her life and I don't try to
run mine.
LONG NIGHT
A drunk phoned the police to report that thieves had been in his car. "They have
stolen the dashboard, the steering wheel, the brake peter and even the
accelerator." he said.
However, before the police investigation could start, the phone rang a second
time and the same voice said, "Never mind. I got into the back seat by mistake."

Minutes - Downtown Optimists, June 21th
There was a much larger
crowd for the meeting than had been for a long time. It was very thrilling to
see all those folks. The recently retired principle of Lowman Hill, Russ
Hutchins spoke about
how much the students looked forward to having our members spend some time with
them. Besides thanking our club for volunteering, he also recognized Tina & Bill
Gannaway and his sister Barbara Shinn for their part in putting the effort
together and keeping it going.
Brian Cole returned from speaking a few weeks ago to thank the club for the
reading program at the Detention Center. He emphasized the importance of working
with the kids at the center. Although, they typically are not there long, they
respond to the attention and interaction.
