HIGHER POWER - A Sunday school teacher said to her children, " We have been learning how powerful kings and queens were in Bible times. But there is a Higher Power. Can anybody tell me what it is?"
One child blurted out "Aces!"

Here is hoping that the old force of habit didn't get hold of you and force you to go to the Top of the Tower last Friday noon.
Misty Kruger was installed as our new president for the 2012-2013 year at a dinner at the Shawnee Country Club. She and the other officers were installed by Jane Harris, Lawrence, who is the incoming Governor of the Kansas District. In addition to the officers, Junior Elder was presented with the prestigious award of Optimist of the Year for our Club. We were also honored to have Gloria Kloster of South Dakota who is National Membership Chairman who was here to put on a training session on Saturday.
Outgoing president, Clyde Kensinger, was present with a life membership.
There were several guests present with their member spouses.
