                               “The Alchemist Pot”

                      London -Learning – Library”

           April 13, 2012                      Vol. 1  No. 24

DR. ALAN BIERMAN – A native of London, England and currently Professor of History and Dean of Library’s at Washburn University, was our speaker.  He defined what a University is and what a few of the important contributions they make in and for our lives.  First a University is a Community of Learning which forms a dual partnership with the students to help create good citizens, who then in turn give back to the towns, bergs, cities, hamlets where they live and raise their families and practice their respect trades and professions. As always a delight to have Alan visit us.

BOB & RAY – For those of us who first HEAR Bob and Ray on RADIO and for all you younger fans Ted Heim is going to be our program and his topic is the many funny faces and skits of one of America’s truly National Treasures – Bob & Ray.  Please be in attendance as Ted transports us back to those days when we left the back screen door unlocked and we sat on the front porch drinking lemonade while we listen to the radio. Come HEAR Ted!

FLIP THEM PANCAKES…and pass the butter and syrup, while piling on the flapjacks, sausage and all the other goodies!  Saturday, April 28th will be our next Pancake and baked goods sale. We will be passing a sign up sheet around this Friday, please sign up. We need your help – also sell them tickets.

Ted Heim won the ticket split. Leland Kimball’s badge number was pulled from the hat, but no show – Mike Akulow Jr won the  attendance list shout out.

And tried to duck it
Kicked first the gas
And then the bucket!
