Bruce also talked about two former Washburn football players who currently are on the NFL"S San Francisco 49'ers football team. From Porubsky's to Pier 39. Only in America

“TWO DUDES”…Downtown Optimist Discussion Group, DODG. Ted Hein gave us a personal review of the program he helped establish over 13 years ago. During all that time very Friday, at 3 p.m. he reads to young people (Age 12-17) from books purchased by our club. The individuals who are locked up in the Youth detention center look forward to Ted and his assistant reading to them. The young people have named them “the two dudes.” With deep appreciation and our respect we say to Ted, Ken Kerle and all who help him, “Thank you, Dude.”
YMCA…Charles Lord will be our speaker
